Overview

The Town of Cumberland was established in 1831 along the National Road. Today the Town straddles the Hancock and Marion County lines of Indianapolis. East Washington Street or US 40 is still a main thoroughfare connecting the Town to Indianapolis and Greenfield. The Cumberland Park’s system provides amenities for all residents, whether you want to walk on the trail, have a picnic or play a game of pickleball.
